Welcome to the Swanderland
24th Nov – 16th Dec
Great food means using the best ingredients. The team here at The Swan have created a seasonal menu featuring the very best British dishes with the occasional European twist, showcasing our relationships with local farms and producers.
Drop by and enjoy a three-course meal in our relaxed dining area, a casual bite in our cosy snug, or a glass of your favourite tipple at the well-stocked bar.
The 16th century Swan has been welcoming guests through its doors for over 400 years, and was once a convenient resting place for those travelling the 200 miles from London to Chester. Today, our comfortable rooms and welcoming bar and dining areas mean that The Swan continues to be a haven for visitors from far and wide.
A regular winner of the Best Kept Village award, Tarporley appears in the Domesday Book of 1086. Back then, Tarporley was home to just eight households, but today is one of the largest villages in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, with antique, curio, craft and fashion shops lining its streets.
We had a lovely stay at The Swan and I would definitely be recommending it to friends and family. The decor is lovely, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. We ate in the bar in the evening and enjoyed our food; it was also lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy our drinks in the courtyard.
Stayed here for weekend break . Excellent service. Very clean, excellent food. Staff extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them, especially in the present climate. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you to all staff at the Swan for our lovely stay.
